Good morning,

We know that everyone is patiently and impatiently waiting to see the first set of rankings.   Many states put out preseason rankings, but it is extremely hard to do with having NO IDEA how much a wrestler has grown since last year.   We have the luxury of seeing where wrestlers have certified for, but that is not a clear indicator of where they will be wrestling early in the season (or at any point for that matter).  Additionally, many teams/wrestlers have had very limited action (some not at all) as of yet, so if a team has only wrestled one dual and wrestlers had to move around for matchups, that weight might not be where they really are at in terms of normal competition.  We will release the first set this week, but we are POSITIVE that there will instances where we are not correct based on data.  Remember, the committee can only look at Track, news articles, and recommendations from our new and improved form we have created.  We also peruse the forum to see if results are posted, hence why we like seeing the "big match/upset" thread.   The first few rankings also have Freshman we need to find, consider and add to the lists, somewhere.

So, bear with us this week as we comb thru literally HUNDREDS of matches. If you know that something is incorrect, please let us know via the links to the nomination forms.   I know that people will respond to this this as well and that is fine.  But, please do it in a manner that is productive and to not bash or throw shade to the committee/wrestler.   We take much pride in what we do and think it is very healthy to have an opinion, but be respectful to the wrestler and program.

Thank you and we appreciate all the support!

I am now OLD enough to know how little I knew when I knew it ALL.

Wow.  Speaks highly of the Northeastern Conference.  5 teams in 1 single conference ranked in the top 10 in D2.  Ever happen before?
