Christensen came on at the end but I think struggled at times with the cut. I wonder if the 2nd year cutting to 174 will help him adjust to the cut.  With Jordan and Medberry done, it would be nice if our upper weight guys stepped up (Christensen, Ritter, and Robertson).  All 3 came in highly ranked and talented.

My thoughts were pretty similar. I could see Covaciu battling for 174 depending on Christensen. Christensen had a good B1G tourney, but did struggle at times. It seems like there is a bit of a log jam at the upper weights. It will be interesting to see what happens at 197 because I think Reinhardt is the better of the two, but Robertson is a matchup problem for Reinhardt if that makes sense.

So looking at B1G for 2018 and removing seniors and if the line up is as state above I could see the following seeds and finishes:
JJ  3
ES 7
CM 6
AC 4
ZW ? (guessing 8 or better)
EW ? (guessing 5)
RC 4
HR 6
RR 3
BS ? (guessing 10)

I would say that JJ and RR will not do that good. Northwestern beat JJ both times although it was closer the 2nd time, Iowa will start Spencer Lee right away, Penn State, Ohio State NATO is coming back down, Illinois is better, and Michigan will be healthy. So I would say 7th or 8th for JJ. And RR will have Ohio State, Penn State, and Iowa. And with his sporadic ways he could lose to lesser guys, so around 5th.
Doubtful we see Lee. He is having surgery. Why rush to come back. Also I highly doubt JJ is 7th or 8th. Suriano and Nato would be only for sure losses. IF Ricky is the starter at 97 he will do better because he will have another year to bulk up. He was very undersized this year.
JJ 5 and Ricky 4 more in the middle.

Well if Lee wrestles this year would that be the first true freshmon to ever wrestle for the BRands.

I heard up to 9 months for recovery for Lee and that would put him into next year January before he steps on the mat. He could be 3 months also but in all honestly why push a kid of that talent.

Yea makes zero sense for him to rush back. Will be a redshirt and have a full off season to recover.

While there is a lot of talk about tomasello coming back down to 125, most people in OH think he's staying put at 133 and that Pletcher will take a RS.

This coming up season will be the best shot for Ohio State to dethrone Penn State. So I would beat that Nato and Pletcher will start the lineup. They have a for sure national champion in the lineup for one more year, and the guys will move weights to accommodate!

lol!!

If Penn state is healthy next year, OSU is not a title threat.  There will only be 1 team competing for a national title (PSU).  PSU had 2 injuries this year (one guy who would have been top 2 or 3), and it wasn't even close even with the injuries.  OSU is good where they would be title threats most years, but not next year.

In a duel meet, yes.  In the national tournament where bonus points matter more, almost everything would need to fall into place to have a chance.  Moore and Nato have less than a 95% chance of being champs.

Snyder is the best wrestler in college, but in the national championship setting, Nickel, Retherford, and Nolf will all likely score more points than he does as they pin a higher percentage than Snyder does.

Plus PSU had 2 weights that scored no points(25 and 33). If they had Suriano it would have been an even bigger blowout.
