Trevor Brandvold, Associate Head Coach at the University of Wisconsin, will be at the youth AND high school camp!  July 19th for the K-2nd and 3rd-6th grade camp and July 26th for the 7th-12th grade camp.  I'm pumped that each of the camp's athletes will be able to learn from such a great wrestler, coach, and person!

Former Badger and current Marshfield Head Coach, Jackson Hein, will be running the youth camp on July 20th.  Jackson is great ambassador for the sport in Wisconsin and I'm excited to have him teach the next generation of Wisconsin wrestlers.

Current Wisconsin assistant coach Camden Eppert will be running the high school camp on Tuesday, July 25th! This guy knows how to run a practice with technique and intensity!  I'm extremely excited to have the older wrestlers learn from Camden.

The rest of the schedule should be finalized in the coming month, with Wisconsin assistant coaches Kyle Ruschell, as well as current Badger wrestlers joining as clinicians.  Please feel free to email me at scottliegel@gmail.com with any questions you may have.

Sign up by July 1st to ensure that you get a T-shirt the first day of camp!

7th-12th Grade Camp Clinician Schedule (July 24-27):

July 24- Connor Medbery
-2-time All-American
-National Runner-Up this past year at 285 lbs.
-Olympic training partner for Tervel Dlagnev at the 2016 Rio Olympics
*Connor is a welcomed addition to the clinician schedule. He is a fantastic technician that is perfect to have teach any size wrestler because of his athleticism as a heavyweight.  I'm excited for him to share his world-class hand fighting drills, position/set up technique, takedowns, tilts, work ethic, and world experiences in the sport of wrestling with all of the campers.*

July 25- Camden Eppert
-Assistant Coach at University of Wisconsin
-4 Time Big Ten Championships place winner (Purdue)

July 26- Trevor Brandvold
-Associate Head Coach at University of Wisconsin
-2 Time All-American
-2 Time Big Ten Champion

July 27- Scott and Seth Liegel
-Scott was an NCAA Qualifier and Seth is a current wrestler at Wisconsin
-Both are former State Champions at River Valley

K-6th Grade Camp Head Clinician Schedule (July 17-20):

July 17- Wisconsin Assistant Coach Kyle Ruschell OR a member of Wisconsin wrestling team

July 18- Scott and Seth Liegel

July 19- Wisconsin Associate Head Coach Trevor Brandvold

July 20- Jackson Hein

Both camps will be held at the River Valley Middle School gymnasium to offer more room for the wrestlers than the high school wrestling room would allow.  Looking forward to July!

As some of you may know, Connor Medbery got accepted in to medical school at Penn State and will be leaving in a month.  Therefore, I have replaced his spot for the 7th-12th grade camp on July 24th with Nazar Kulchytskyy.  Nazar won three Division III championships at UW-Oshkosh before joining the Badger Regional Training Center.  He is now a world-class wrestler at the senior level at 70 kg, competing this past weekend at the World Team Trials in Lincoln, NE.

For those that are planning on attending the camp but haven't sent in the registration yet, please send the River Valley Wrestling Camp registrations in by next weekend (July 8) to guarantee a T-shirt! I'll be ordering the shirts on that day in order for them to come in time for the first week of camp. See you in a couple weeks!
