With the addition of Southern Door and Johnson Creek, as well as a good bubble of talent in a lot of different teams, this seems like it could be a year in which this sectional is a lot more competitive at State.

145, 152, and 160 specifically seem to be pretty loaded with talent.  Any other weight classes catch the eye?

138 looks tough. Based on the latest rankings the 2, 7, 8, 9 and 12 seeds can all qualify for the sectional. And Josiah from Oostburg is a tough un ranked kid who can make his way through regionals too.

Priest makes it through at HWT.  He is a bulldog that goes six minutes hard.  Never can count that guy out.

Congratulations to Random Lake on making it state again,  heck of a match with Reedsville, Reedsville gave it there best chance but fell short. The biggest match was with Reedsville putting 160 Schanilec vs Arendt. Arendt pulled through. Roffers bumped up to wrestle Helton VandenBush at 170, with Helton winning 9-5 to seal the deal. Random Lake 30 Reedsville 26. Wonder what wouldve happened with a Schanilec win, and then to decide the match Kocourek vs Brouillette at 182

Congratulations Random Lake.  What some great matches!  Give Reedsville some credit, they wrestled their tails off, but came just a bit short.  Outstanding effort by 2 clubs who will be losing a ton of seniors!  If it would have came down to Kocourek vs. Brouillette, I would have to go with Kocourek since Brouilette looked like he had nothing left in the tank after his match against Hopp.  Those kids wanted it just as bad!  Thanks guys & Good Luck to all the rest of the way!

It was a great dual.  Going in to Arendt's match, Random only needed one win and two decision losses, so it was going to be tough for Reedsville to pull out the win no matter what from that spot.  Both teams have great upper-tier wrestlers, but the difference makers were really RL's second-tier guys wrestling incredibly well.  Three freshmen and 2 upperclassmen with less than 10 wins between the two of them gave up two majors, two minor decisions, and earned one minor decision win.  Random Lake didn't get pinned or teched once until the dual was already won.

Both teams have just loaded senior classes - the dual was everything you would expect out of such seasoned teams.  By the way, Reedsville has been under ranked all year, I think.  I don't know who their best dual win would be, but I think the'd cause problems for a lot of D3 teams.
