Badger received a commitment from Jeremy Schoenherr from Stratford. Great kid and great wrestler. Will add some depth around 141/149.

Just watched his Hudl highlights, love his aggression and attacking style.

Badger volleyball, bringing in the #2 ranked recruiting class in the Nation this fall.... wouldn't that be awesome?

One thing you will notice if you follow this highly ranked volleyball recruiting class is that all these young ladies went to UW volleyball camps for multiple years together before they ever signed with UW.  I would hope the UW wrestling program would attract the top talent to their summer camps as well  Wink

Sheffield has truly done an amazing job at the UW! He's completely turned the culture and expectations of the volleyball program around. It helped to have an all time great in Carlini come in with him but he's done exceptional!!

Agreed, Sheffield has done an amazing job.  Absolutely no excuses with that program.

so, just wondering, do they have a "state of the art" practice facility?

Maybe if we had looser uniforms and club volleyball we'd be the best on earth. Wink

LOL...apparently wrestling at the Fieldhouse is a liability but in volleyball doesn't seem to be a detriment to recruiting.

Another big tournament, another good showing for Konrath. He is in the finals at Fargo, already beating 2 nationally ranked wrestlers.  Imo he was pretty underrated as a recruit.

Schoenberr is also in the finals at 138 and Dow just had a huge win against Jake Allar to make the finals at 160.

Impressive.  Keep it going.  That win over Allar is awesome.

Obviously they are since they have been getting coached by the staff. Dow and Schoenberr haven't been finalist before so they must have improved.

Barry has had much more success with out of state wrestlers than in state wrestlers. Pray that this changes when Dow comes.

Schoenherr wrestles a classic Big 10 style IMO. He looks like kid that has a chance to crack the Badger line up more then any other local kid I have seen in a few years. I also don't want to sell Dow short either, he is simply a fighter that fights out of any position. I haven't witnessed very many local kids that continue to fight like Dow. It would be great to see a couple of local guys get a Badger movement started.
