WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.-- The Purdue wrestling team returns to Holloway Gymnasium on Sunday for the Big Ten Conference opener. The Boilermakers, who are fresh off of a West Coast swing, are set to take on No. 3 Iowa at 1 p.m. ET.

Purdue brings a 4-1 record into its earliest start to the Big Ten slate since facing Minnesota in its second dual of the season on Nov. 22, 2013. While in California, Nate Limmex (149) and Griffin (157) were double winners for the Boilermakers in a 20-17 win over Boise State and a 23-14 loss to 15th-ranked Stanford on Nov. 18. Two days later, 10 grapplers placed at the Roadrunner Open. Luke Welch led the Purdue charge by taking top honors at 133 pounds. The redshirt junior extended his winning streak to seven straight after going 4-0 in the tournament.

After meeting Iowa on a neutral mat in their last three home dates, Purdue will take on the Hawkeyes in West Lafayette for the first time since Jan. 26, 2007. They are the first among three Big Ten foes that are wrestling in West Lafayette for the first time in five or more years.
