I've completed steps 1-3 for the copper certification and plan on doing the online course when it becomes available in about a week or so.  My question is:  will I be getting an actual USA card in the mail or do I just need to know my ID number for tournaments.  I haven't read anywhere that says I'll be receiving a card.  Any info would be much appreciated!  I've been away from wrestling for the last 20 years, but now that my son wrestles I need to figure this kind of stuff out.

People move for all kinds of singular reasons.
Warm weather
country living
better hunting or fishing
live on a lake or ocean or golf course
mountains
city living
sports
arts
politics

Folks that have the means have moved for hobby's and life styles choices sense BC. So moving to support your kids and the goals seems very noble and more reasonable then moving for warm weather or outdoors, but everyone has there own individual calling.
Life is about the journey!!

Good luck AJ and DJ...
What a cool new adventure and a chance to be coached by a ledgend (Jim Jackson). I know DJ is mentally tough enough to compete right away, I had DJ ranked either 1 or 2 on the 2017-2018  freshman board so i expect good things from him. AJ will be able to take advantage of JHI and get much better matches and coaching for the next 2 years to speed his development up even more.
PinNcle + Jim Jackson + two tough kids + crazy dad = Bright wrestling future.
You two boy's are lucky your dad is a little crazy and independently wealthy so he can help you reach your dreams.

One of the top high school wrestlers in the nation is a WI kid that moved to Simily MN in 7th grade, so if it even works out 1/2 as well as it did for him you will be in great shape.

Good for them and awesome to see kids get the JHI opportunity.  Surprised more of our wrestlers don't do that.  It seems pretty popular for Ohio kids close to Kentucky to move there for a couple years to capitalize on JHI there as well.

well maybe it isnt on the top of the list for families to move just for a single sport.

I know of many that take the all of the great training in minnesota to help them become better but just not move.

I'm quite sure it "isn't on the top of the list" for families to move just for a single sport.

heck I wouldnt even worry about matches. I look at all the studs that are just in the room around the youngers smith age. Man not only state ranked kids but nationally ranked kids and some I hear are going to be battling for the same spot in the line up. How good would that be having a couple of nationally ranked kids on your team but going at it for a wrestle off for the same spot on the team!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Jackson runs his own "club" program. You also have MN elite and JJ Trained right within distance of the school that maybe they can bike to!! or you know wrestlers, run, run, run!!!!!!!

Greg Kerkvliet spent his formative years in Hudson.

I thought he still was a wisconsin kid meaning living in wisconsin.

actually there has been a few kids from the hudson/somerset area that went into the cities for school. Jack Cichey LB from the Badgers went to Hill Murray and I think there was a few kids from hudson that went into the cities for various sports.
