Well there was plenty of excellent wrestling at Plattville and some fantastic matches. College wrestling is just a monster grind and I give credit to anyone who does it or did it. In all honesty I have a rough time watching HS wrestling anymore after watching college wrestlingCollege wrestling is far more exciting and active the rules are better and competition is fantastic. I wish HS would adapt some things from college wrestling it would make it better. Especially the stalling and out of bounds rules.

Many might argue that college stall calls tend to be a little light at times. I like using the whole out of bounds; but they do use the bigger mats in college.

Fun year for WIAC wrestling. Platteville coming up, You know Eau Claire is going to be coming around. WhiteH2O still good and La Crosse is always mean.

Congrats to UWL, who ran away with it from the start ending UWW's 5 year streak.  I agree, Platteville and Eau Claire will be on the upswing real quick.  It is what happens with established D3 coaches coming in house.  Regionals and Nationals are going to be fun to watch this year.

Yea UWL was monster that day. Coaching and promotion of the programs by agressive coaches makes for some great recruiting and wrestler development. College D3 wrestlers are there because they want to be that's what makes thier enthusiasm and drive fun to watch.

As far as stalling an emphasis has been established to clean up stalling and they pull the trigger pretty quick. Action has been fantastic. The other rule I wish HS would adopt is the Out of bounds scoring it would add allot of excitment to the matches.
